Nithin Coca నితిన్So is #Zoom requiring you to use their app to join calls now? For the first time today, didn't get the option to join via a browser when trying to join a call. If so, how lame.
Andrew Todd@ncoca If you're experiencing the same thing I did: they changed the layout of the launch page a few weeks ago and the "join via browser" button is now bigger -- but I was so used to looking for the link in its old location that it took me a while to realize that it existed.
@auspicacious Hopefully it's just this! I joined a call a few days ago and found the button. Only today, couldn't find it. I'll look harder next time.

TIL that if you want to force Zoom to open the meeting in the browser, replace "/j/" in the URL with "/wc/join/"

Eggs now in different baskets.@ncoca I experienced that recently on a debian based desktop PC.
I forgot what I did, I might have tried private mode and a different browser but I went back and forth on the landing page and eventually the "use Zoom in a browser" option appeared near the bottom of the page.
If they insist on me using the app then I will probably install a Linux on a thumb drive, with VPN set up and boot from the thumb drive when I want to join a #Zoom meeting/presentation.
