I am watching #Newsnight and so extremely angry about how it’s all being framed. Everyone, presenter, Reform, Labour, ganging up on Greens. Then the “breaking news” of concerning levels of “family voting” - i don’t know, it sounds like a move to discredit things. #UKPolitics #Byelections #GreenParty

@pvonhellermannn

They're scared. I haven't seen them this scared since 2019.

@pvonhellermannn You are right, it's because they know Hannah will win, did you also notice Zak was the only one smiling most of the time, they all have their own exit polls reform and labour already making excuses, (I hope anyway)
@pvonhellermannn the mainstream press always treated the Greens with barely concealed contempt, as idealistic idiots with no idea about real politics. That's just imploded, Labour just lost to both left and right. It was Labour voters who risked electing reform, they wasted their vote on a ridiculous dying party. The media is going to have to catch up.

@BenjaminKlein @pvonhellermannn

Just watch out that the Greens don't get turned inside out into the next Labour as the system tries to push everything to the right.

@violetmadder @BenjaminKlein i know… my daughter was asking about exactly this! But even if that does happen, i imagine/hope it will take a while..

@pvonhellermannn @BenjaminKlein

If more people are becoming aware of the issue, it can be finally stopped.

@pvonhellermannn

I am so, so pleased the Greens got in 👏💪

@pvonhellermannn

Reminds me of Germany during the last few federal elections.

The #Grünen , together with the #Linke , are probably the parties with the least direct influence from Big Business. So of course corporate media does everything to slander them.

@juergen_hubert I have to confess I hadn’t fully realised this was happening in Germany too, in the same way. I thought of the German Greens as themselves already more or less establishment (and to some extent compromised - the other way which establishment beats opposition). But of course it does. Thank you for pointing this out.

@pvonhellermannn

They _are_ more "establishment" than they used to, and they aren't completely free of corruptive influences, either.

But still, they are the primary political target of the fascists and fascist-adjacent media. Anything that goes "wrong" in Germany is blamed on the Greens.
