@cjoshua2118 The borderlands I do not think were faith operated. I think that instead the people in the borderlands had very little to rely on and when they had something they latched on to it. #Hist416
@cjoshua2118 This specifically makes me think of Teresa's life in the end. She still had her don even though she had left Mexico. Some people chose to believe the opposite about her and critiqued these parts of her that became more modern, rather than viewing her as an evolving being who still had power, just manifested in a different way at times. #Hist416
