He's only viable now as a lesser evil and not because he's such a great guy. The Overton Window has shifted so far that this leading Democrat voice is anti-trans and anti-homeless (ultimately this is also anti-Labor). Do we not have any decent people left at all?

I think Newsom has too many skeletons in his closet (chiefly his sexual history) to be the 2028 nominee, but I'd give my eye-teeth to have more Democrats talk like him, with his ability to articulate the danger and express our alternative response.
My personal preference for 2028 right now is Gov. #Pritzker. He understands the threat just as well and is just as good at ID'ing the threat. He just doesn't troll T**** as well as Newsom. 😉
