I didn't want to look for a new todo app, but Apple Reminders only giving me FOUR due date options when trying to set multiple tasks at once, is seriously hindering my flow in making a weekly planner.

Today, Tomorrow, This Weekend, Next Week, 😩

I'm open to suggestions: macOS and no subs please.

I did try doing it in Obsidian before but it wasn't quite what I was after (the whole overview/week thing) - Though I do use the Kanban plugin a lot for per-project planning :)

@hejchristian Yea, I try to keep my setup as close to "this is just a paper todo list" as possible. Everything else is just noise for me.

@cferdinandi I am tempted to try good ol' pen and paper again - but I find moving stuff around to be a bit of a chore 😅

@hejchristian free version of TickTick is wonderful.

It has a subscription but only for the calendar stuff or if you have a lot of lists

@fantinel Looks very permissive on the free plan, that's cool! I'm not sure if I will be on Apple forever either, so might be better to pick one not locked on this platform.

@hejchristian hope you like it! I’ve been using it for years now, it’s my absolute favorite of its kind.

I pay for the sub (it’s cheap, like $3/mo) because I love the time blocking features, and no complaints about it, honestly.

They also haven’t shoved AI on it yet which is kind of a miracle to be honest, but you never know when that might happen hahah

@hejchristian I really like @things. It handed due (and do) dates very nicely and it’s not (currently) a sub. It’s pricy, though.
