It’s a subgrid vs container queries day 😩
I get why subgrid and size containment can be incompatible, but only my rows are subgrid and I want inline-size containment. By not caring about which axes are in play, the current spec seems more constrained than strictly necessary.
(Also, using a column subgrid and wanting block-size queries would introduce a use case for the rejected block-size containment because inline-size containment would naturally be disallowed.)
