I see the Assisted Dying Bill looks almost certain not to become law.

This is a shame.

It is of course perfectly right and proper that the Lords should give the bill careful scrutiny and suggest improvements, but blocking it altogether against the wish of the elected Commons seems to me to be very bad form.

@dave You have to wonder if the result would have been the same if we didn't join Iran in being the only 2 countries in the world with religious leaders with an automatic right to be in the legislature
