@skribe One of the few benefits to come out of Australian politics is the occasional really good insult. These are all the ones I remember from Paul Keating, I probably don't have them all 100% right:
"24 carat pissant"
"dessicated coconut"
"all tip and no iceberg"
"alive, but looking dead"
"unrepresentative swill"
"intellectual rust bucket"
"a carcass with a coat and tie on"
That last one has come around to be apposite again, as it was a reference to the then leader of the National Party :-)
My favourite remains "all tip and no iceberg", which was originally about Peter Costello, but which could be very well applied to many current incumbents.
