My crocheted blanket is done! I have some cotton yarn leftover so I'll be crocheting a few hand towels for in the kitchen but then I'll need a new project. I really liked crocheting this blanket, the mosaic was just challenging enough so I wouldn't get bored but not so challenging it needed my undivided attention. I also liked working with cotton as it's easy to crochet with and doesn't break the bank. Although I am still really hoping to someday have the money for Scheepjes yarn as it looks so gorgeous.

(The first two pictures are of the blanket just hours before being finished. I washed and blocked the blanket before taking pictures and I don't want to put it on the floor again.)

Let me reassure you as a Dutch person that Scheepjes is just another yarn brand - albeit very good at marketing and taking gorgeous pictures. There’s probably yarn that’s exactly as pretty somewhere local to you.

I used Drops Paris Unicolour that came in balls of 50gr, so I needed a LOT of balls 😆. It is very cheap yarn so we'll see how it stands the test of time.
