While Putin's soldiers are using horses in Ukraine, and some videos show them running out of supplies, Mark Carney says Canada is sending another 2 billion in aid to the Ukrainian soldiers plus another 400 armored vehicles.

Will 2026 be the year Putin loses the war? I find that increasingly likely.

@randahl Unlikely. Putin has a near infinite number of human meat at his disposal and he has no regrets sacrificing them. This year will see another mobilisation in Russia, to send even more men into the meat grinder.

@lbcp That used to be the case. In the first two months of this year, the numbers of recruits is lower than the number of soldiers being un-alived or unable to fight. Of course, Putin could start a new mobilization wave, but that led to a massive emmigration last time and they need the work force for making weapons.
