I would try out #ThriveMessenger but the thing is, I heard that the people involved are storing passwords in plain text format, and I really don't like the sound of that. Couldn't even hash the passwords? Like, what's up with that? I'm sure as hell not giving people my passwords to anything if I know that they are practicing poor security maintenance. Is this right? I might be wrong about this, I must admit, I just heard a rumor about this, but multiple people have said to stay away from Thrive for now, and I'm inclined to listen.
@LeonianUniverse all sorted now
@TomGrant91 Okay, definitely a bit weary about it though, but might check it out.
@LeonianUniverse they aren't really programmers so it's all a mess
@JStark It’s alright if they are vibe-coders, that's not the problem, it’s mainly just the security concerns tbh.
@LeonianUniverse sure but vibe coding without the basics of coding is what leads to this
@JStark Yeah, I do agree with that, hence why I will almost certainly never vibe-code.
@LeonianUniverse they are constantly breaking things and rolling things back... it's rather sad...
