Once more, it’s a crying shame
Only this time no one but myself to blame
All I touch turns to dust
It’s right there in my cards
I ought to cut

Roxy!

It's a Roxy Music Day, today!

That's great!

Unfortunately, I have work to do. Lots of work. On a project that should have been completed ... in November? (It's been a rolling clusterfuck of missed targets -- technically, I've finished the bits that should have been completed in November -- last week -- but, if those bits had been finished in November, the current bits would have been finished two weeks ago.)

I'm tired of this project, and would like to be finished, and had hoped to finish up today (yesterday? Monday?), but it's a Roxy Music Day, today, and I keep stopping and listening to the music!

So, my choice is to stop listening to Roxy Music, and finish, or let this project drag on through the end of the week.

(Oh well, I didn't have any other plans for Friday. Sing, Bryan, sing!)

(The lyrics above do not represent a recommendation. If you want to join in on today's Roxy Music Day, pick your own favorite Roxy Music song. Or pick any random Roxy Music song! They're all good!)

@trewhytte

My favorite song might be "Grey Lagoons". At least at the moment.

@jamesbritt

Yeah - "Grey Lagoons" is a good one!

(Also, I think it's a good illustration of the quickly fading skill of sequencing albums -- it fits in so nicely between "The Bogus Man", which is focused on simplistic repetition, and "For Your Pleasure", which is heavily effects driven. "Grey Lagoons" starts slow, then turns into "Come on, mates, just fuckin' play!" -- it's a great interval between the intentional, structured, experimentation of "The Bogus Man" and "For Your Pleasure.")

This hour of non-productivity brought to you courtesy of @jamesbritt and side two of "For Your Pleasure", played on a loop, while I stare at my monitor and intently listen!
