matluvr@dizzywind_ Yeah I definitely think teachers can act as gatekeepers. In the reading, they gave the Saints a lot more grace, while the Roughnecks were already seen as “bad kids.” Those expectations clearly shaped how each group was treated, which just reinforces inequality. #so345
