The State of the Union has always been, in part, a sales pitch. In the past, it’s been worth watching: not to consume credulously, but to understand the vision and thought process driving those behind the wheel of the country. (1/5)
I won’t watch this one, because the driver is at best asleep at the wheel, and at worst drunk with power, delivering the destruction that drunk drivers too often so. (2/5)
He will waste time tonight whining and lying on the House Floor. He’ll say things outrageous and stupid, vapid and self-aggrandizing. He’ll be full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. (3/5)
