The examples included here are horrible. Not just the sex-shaming, but that too.

I'm far from convinced that a social media ban is the answer, but the comment is still well worth reading - especially by men.

@neil It's disappointing to me that the (proposed) solution to this is still some kind of social media ban. I don't know if it would help, or just be bypassed, but I do know that it continues to protect the abusers by shifting the blame to the victims. "Cyber bullying isn't real, just turn off your phone duh" as a policy misses the mark in my opinion. We should imo really start with enforcement of laws that are already there. Much of the extremely vile, abusive content has always been illegal (at least in many places), but enforcement is slim to none, even when the abuser is clearly known, or limited to "must remove the post". Believe victims, prosecute abusers, both online and offline. <\/rant> Thanks for the link, important read.
