Damn, something slowed down #PHPStorm today to a degree where I could hardly work.

Scrolling a simple file caused stutter. Neither do I have the time nor the interest to debug this.

Anyone else experiencing a sudden slowdown? Maybe due to a plugin update?

@alexanderschnitzler Invalidating caches might help. That worked for me in several situations.
And switching to VSCode.

Yes, I know, it needs a lot of effort. I like it and I would not want to switch back. Weird but, on the other hand I won't recommend doing it. You really should know in advance what you're embarking on.
