This #eff dot org article is dated 2023, but much of the material covered seems to remain relevant today.

Additionally, I am growing suspicious that #Mastodon has biases in favor of #AIPAC #IDF #Israel and bias AGAINST any all Palestinian causes. I am more-than-suspicious that #kolektiva is a compromised instance.

Lastly, I am confident that Mastodon.social favors its sponsors in moderation matters.

Money corruption is everywhere.

FBI Seizure of Mastodon Server Data is a Wakeup Call to Fediverse Users and Hosts to Protect their Users

We’re in an exciting time for users who want to take back control from major platforms like Twitter and Facebook. However, this new environment comes with challenges and risks for user privacy, so we need to get it right and make sure networks like the Fediverse and Bluesky are mindful of past...

@donhawkins This happened before I joined, but I have no regrets about being part of #Kolektiva. A lot of groups that I've supported and / or been involved with have been under #FBI scrutiny. That's never stopped me. The mods here are the best, and there's no hint of further compromise (in fact, they've taken measures to prevent future incursions). Implications of #corruption based on what happened is just ignorant.

@DoomsdaysCW Because you brought up things that are “ignorant”, let’s address that. It would be ignorant to assume that the “suspicions” I expressed are based solely on the EFF. org article.

I have firsthand experience with the moderators that you subjectively characterize as “best” without any comparative reference. My experience leads me to characterize them as amateurish. (1/2)

I dunno how your inclusion of being tracked by the FBI was relevant, but since you brought it up I’ve had the experience of sitting down with the agent in charge of the area I live, alongside an Assistant U.S.Attorney out of DC long after they had “tracked” me. They brought their notebook of files to that meeting.

My comment stands as written, and I don’t take too much stock in commentary that comes from a pseudonym account.

Cheers! (2/2)
