So here's a pet peeve: My Amazon Prime renewed today. I was planning on letting my Amazon Prime renew, so that isn't a problem; but still, it was a $150 charge. I was expecting it at some point, and I can afford it; but still, it seems it should be common courtesy for these companies to give you a warning a few days before they grab your money. I guess we live in a society where common courtesy doesn't count for much anymore. Ah well.
@alpuzz Some businesses do send out a renewal email but I can't say I've seen one from Amazon. Sad to say.
@robini71 Yeah. I use Tello as my phone carrier. They send out a courtesey email warning me a few days before they take their monthly $15.00. but Amazon can't see fit to do that for a $150 bill. Shrug.
@alpuzz anymore, even as I realize it costs more in the end, I like the convenience of just paying monthly for prime. But yeah, I'm with you regarding the fact they don't notify you ahead of time.
@tinygirl @alpuzz Shit man! It went up for this year. We pay ours in March. Meh thanks for the warning since de Zon won't.
@alpuzz if you want a reminder , you need to cancel. They send so many reminders about the benefits you're about to lose.
@alpuzz Yeah. They tell you that it’s renewing soon but that’s it. Sigh. I feel like Microsoft also does this when it comes too my yearly office subscription.
@amy0223 Ugg Thanks for the reminder. I'll have to keep an eye on my Office subscription. That one is even more surprising for me if I don't stay on top of it because I tend to stack those when I find a good deal. I found Office 365 personal subscriptions on sale a few years ago on Black Friday for like $45, and bought 4 of them. Those run out for me in 2027 though.
@alpuzz Sad, yeah they just want our money.
