I enjoy watching hockey and football and reading: everything from mystery and suspense and psychological thrillers to the occasional romance; as long as it has a plot. I’m a recipe nerd and cooking is one of my love languages. My blood volume is probably 80 percent caffein.

I was gifted some of those tiny bite-sized potatoes, some Olive Garden Italian dressing, and a family pack of boneless chicken thighs. In they went into the slow cooker along with some Italian herbs. I'm now officially ahead on meals and unintentionally so. Go me! Not bad for a Tuesday.
That moment where you and your coworkers are sitting in a meeting where the folks who it's for haven't shown up and we've almost been here for half an hour. LOL!
If you have Aldi in your area and need an alternative to shredded cheese for recipes, I highly recommend the cheddar shreds they sell. I’m very picky about non dairy cheese. I never jumped on the Daiya brand so many love because it tastes weird. While this won’t exactly mimic the taste of your favorite block of extra sharp cheddar, it melted into my breakfast hot dish quite nicely. Apparently they have mozzarella shreds too. I’ve not tried those yet. I do wonder if those would give you the stringy you want from the cheese on your pizza. But the taste is decent. If you’re #DairyFree or mostly dairy free this might be an option. It’s so hard to find good non dairy cheese options.

Note: You must be 22.” Do people really fall for these? You must be 22. 22 what? I actually feel my brain cells dying trying to act this out and make this work in my head. I just delete and report junk which seems to do nothing. It’d be awesome if there was a way to legit block these. They’re all from email addresses coming to text messages. Do Android users also get these?

Me: sees a post mentioning the peanut butter cups at Aldi on social media. Hops over to Instacart as a current Aldi order is being shopped… only ms speedy shopper rocks and she’s all done! Found everything though. This is the universe telling me eat more fruit and less chocolate. It must be as my order contains lots of it. Ah well. Next time. :)
I just read where the house voted approval to cut funding to foreign aid which is moronically lumped in with foreign aid where it does not belong. When will the American people fight against the political a holes incorrectly lumping stuff in that doesn’t belong? Reality is public broadcasting may be cut because part of what they don’t want is us to give aid to other countries. I’m not siding with anything here. I’m on team let’s quit combining shit together like this. These bills need to be separated. No one will ever convince me that how we do things when we create our budget is how it ought to be done. Don’t try to convince me and I’ll block those who need to assign political labels as if we aren’t people. I’m simply advocating for separation as it ought to be. It will be very sad when public media is cut.
We have already been outside and the humidity is 80 percent. I officially want to eat all the cold things. My current Aldi grocery list looks like a salad bar with salmon and chocolate and fruit thrown in. I think this morning’s breakfast will be grilled chicken salad stuffed into a tortilla. Ps. I love that they now make chopped salad kits for lazy people like me who love salad wraps but don’t want to do all the chopping. :)
My favorite Beach Boys album is Pet Sounds and one of my favorites from that is God Only Knows. I’m thrilled to die on this hill! #RIP Brian Wilson. https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=DGOhIhgZxFo&feature=shared

On my last repost… I was conducting a workshop on interviewing and talking about yourself in said interview. One of the attendees talked about their passion for knitting and how they taught themselves, without sight during Covid for something to do. My first thought was I’d hire that person. I loved their passion for knitting and also the time and skill it took to do all that. They thought it was silly. I thought it showed great passion, strength, and employers need to pay attention to that kind of thing because those skills and dedication come into the workplace. So while that post was supposed to be funny, if true, good on them for demonstrating their passion! :)
There’s a summer music festival my guy wants to go to next weekend in Pittsburgh. I’m not really interested in any of the bands performing but I also know that often hearing a band live can sometimes make you change your mind and be a great experience. While I’m apprehensive about this experience with just the two of us both blind, we still don’t know many people out here and we ought to try barring any unforeseen health things which can pop up. To that end, I’m researching comfy picnic blankets, and lawn chairs which don’t require assembly as ain’t nobody handy here and we do not have a sighted support network ready and willing to do our bidding. I don’t want to pay someone to assemble. Since we will have to uber I’m thinking picnic blankets might be more practical. But holy wow! They range from as low as $30 to as high as $200! I’m sorry, but if you expect $200 for something to sit on the ground with, it had better come with a cooler and food! :). My knees and back will likely hate me for days if we do this…
