The first third party test of the #DonutLab (claimed) #solidStateBattery are released. Done by VTT, it confirms that the battery is capable of very fast charging without active cooling.

@Setok been following this product for a while after seeing it discussed by matt ferrell , just have a think and others.

@Setok
As it is a pdf and im on my phone , combined with defective eyes , this read will have to happen later on my beautiful big desktop monitor.

If i pay a visit to Helsinki , do you think i might get away with bringing a few back on the ferry to Tallinn? 🤪

@methchild sadly I don’t think it’s terribly easy to get one’s hands on the batteries themselves…
@Setok The charge voltage curve was pretty much like a regular NCM battery. You can charge a NCM battery at such very fast rates... For a few cycles. Even after today's test report they are still very much in the "trust me bro it's different" stage with their demos.

@suihkulokki indeed. The charge was very fast. But it’s a complete unknown how sustainable that would be over multiple charges (a few hundred cycles would already be big news at that charge rate).

So an interesting test but ultimately difficult to get much out of it. Perhaps someone who is more of an expert could decipher something from the data.
