Trust the fucking Gold Coast to miss the memo about holding the line. ERMAGERD IT'S GERRLD AND SHINY!

I reckon how this goes: a bunch of contractors get bankrupted by unpaid bills before the project grinds to a halt. The incomplete building looms over the Gold Coast for years, ugly as shit and used only for BASE jumping. Eventually taxpayers foot a massive bill to demolish it.
