Applications that add desktop shortcuts to the desktop by default and without asking.

I actually spent time curating the look of my desktop and I don't need a disorganised slew of random icons mucking it up, thank you very much.

Note: anyone recommending Linux in response to this will be muted or blocked.

Note 2: Yes I know I can hide icons, that's not the point.

@GeekyTeaKitty I used to hide icons and use a Mac-like taskbar, so whenever I needed to use Show Icons I'd be floored by how much CRAP put their goddamn icon on my desktop without asking (I always uncheck that option on installers) 😡

@GeekyTeaKitty the least they could do is make it a toggleable checkbox in the installer so you can say “No icon for me, thank you.”
