(Not so) fun fact. If you cut and paste some files in Windows File Explorer, then hit undo without realizing it (files are now in "cut" limbo), then do a further action in Explorer (wiping out the redo path), those files are now gone.

Not in the original folder, not in the Recycle Bin...Completely fucking gone. Some quick searching online shows this has been a problem since at least 2015!

I'm not sure if this is only an issue in Windows 10 and later, but I don't remember this ever happening in Windows 7 and I've accidentally done this several times now (using Ctrl-Z in one program without realizing Explorer had the focus on my other monitor).
