Mostly by indulging my ego at every turn and letting myself me motivated not by health but by a desire to impress myself with feats of strength and looking cool

…and lots of whey protein isolate

The typical motivations used to encourage “health” in this society involve way too much guilt and shame and fear, none of which are sustainable approaches
