It's medically fascinating how many lies there are in just this one statement.

1. There has been no coordination with Louisiana
2. The governor cannot deploy federal assets
3. The two existing hospital boats, the USNS Mercy and USNS Comfort, are in dry dock in Alabama
4. They are federal assets owned and deployed by the US Navy
5. Admiral Daryl Caudle would be in charge of the actual deployment of naval assets
6. There is no current, confirmed outbreak of disease or widespread sickness in Greenland that would require external aid
7. If there were, it would fall to Denmark to request aid, not Greenland
8. Danish officials have stated that their healthcare system is functioning normally and they do not need special medical assistance
9. The last widespread disease which would require external aid was the COVID-19 crisis, which Trump bungled into a worldwide pandemic

So to recap, no aid is required, because no aid is necessary, and no aid has been requested, and no aid is on its way.

@Lana

I think Trump by now IS a case of predominantly medical interest ...

@Lana

I saw a comment that said the only medical emergency was a US sailor, who had to be evacuated from a US submarine that was suspiciously close to Greenland's capital, Nuuk.

The sailor was apparently evacuated, and flown to Denmark for medical care. Without the enormous bills and bankruptcies that are such a feature of US wealthcare.*

*not a typo

@davidtheeviloverlord @Lana I think they are in hospital in Nuuk currently
@davidtheeviloverlord @Lana All my American friends talk about how great their healthcare system is, so they will surely be delighted to hear that Greenland is now also benefiting from this.
@Lana and the picture looks very AI.
@Lana
He must be hallucinating. Somehow that's his usual state of mind.
@Lana must be a similar help he announced the other day to send to Iran.... ffs.
@Lana despite the facts - Felon 47 not being in power to send out "a great hospital boat" and Greenland not being in need of and not having requested USamerican support, I wonder how the USamerican ppl feel being left to die by the hands of their government without sufficient health care, while their FOTUS in his own words rushes to sent health care off to other countries.
@Lana And on top, many members of the Navy likely feel insulted because it is seen as derogatory (also for the crew) to call a ship "boat".

@Lana Aaaaand Greenland says "get bent".

"Jens-Frederik Nielsen responded "it's going to be a no thanks from us," and said that Greenland provides free healthcare for all citizens, unlike the US. "

Greenland says 'no thanks' to Trump US hospital boat

Greenland's PM reminded Trump of its free healthcare, after Trump said he was sending a boat to aid people who were allegedly "not being taken care of".

@Lana
He's projecting, as usual. He feels ill, and that he's not getting the help he needs.
Senility is not amenable to medical help, sadly.
