I feel I have to block negative people. Who come into my mentions with "I agree with you but you are f***ing stupid if you think Trump will face justice."

As James Baldwin reminds us, "I never have been in despair about the world. I’ve been enraged by it. I don’t think I’m in despair. I can’t afford despair. I can’t tell my nephew, my niece. You can’t tell the children there’s no hope."

Do not despair my friends. Be angry. Stay angry. But be not hopeless. We will get through this. We will.

@benroyce @QasimRashid To be fair, I don’t think anything can STOP our cynical feelings—but our cynical feelings should stop at that. Don’t browbeat others with them or intrude on more important things. Don’t let them stop you from taking action. Certainly don’t let them stop you from engaging in “the least thing you can do” which is voting against increasing harm.
