The Trump tariffs will end, when all affected countries agree to put 100 percent tariffs on all American exports until all Trump tariffs are removed.

All for one, one for all.

@randahl

You’d be taxing yourself. Just ban us.

@randahl the tariffs hurt consumers in the tariffing country. We all don’t much care. You guys can smash your own economy. We’re not imposing tariffs on imports from you just because we don’t like Trump’s behaviour.
@randahl I also notice that EU is moving away from buying US arms which is going to have one hell of en impact on trade. Enough that Trump's figured out how bad it'll be. That'll send the dow below 50k
@randahl Just because the US punches itself in the face, we are not obligated to do the same.

@glent This doesn't work for countries that have significant industries which compete with ones in the US. The EU belongs to this group, as do China, Japan, Korea.

@randahl

@randahl
What do we do if he shuts down our network beforehand and we can't communicate that to him in advance?🤡
@randahl Retaliate with generalized tariffs is not a good move IMO. It's better to not buy specific US products or services. Or put tariffs on specific sectors, like the surveillance economy.
@randahl It'd be more of a strategy move with hopefully a very short timeframe, otherwise it'll hurt the countries tariffing like the US tariffs are hurting US Americans. Europe needs to speed ahead towards total independence from the US. The US should be an option, not a necessity. Meanwhile EU people can boycott all things US (services and goods) which would be better than tariffs.
@randahl adding taxes to american services is the better way - and the europeans will profit. if taxes are collected without excemption. looking at you, ireland.
