What is the point of recreating media format designed exclusively to grab attention as much as possible and monetize it?

“What’s the point of creating something people want to use?”

This is why most of you aren’t designers or creators.

People also want to use drugs that cause addiction. Is that a good reason to design and create more of them?
Who are you to say it isn’t?
Someone with a vested interest in s healthy, functional society of educated adults.
If you were an educated adult, you’d know that banning drugs tends to cause more harm. You’d also know that some drugs have positive effects on learning and empathy when used appropriately.
I was talking about specifically about drugs that cause addiction, not all kinds of drugs in general. Also, I said nothing about banning drugs or anything else. I just don’t understand why to produce more of that shit when we as society can’t deal with what’s already out there.
When did I say anything about banning drugs? I just said I don’t think it’s a good idea to make more addicitive substances for the sake of addiction.
You could also implement features that reduce the addictivity as the EU might be demanding of Tik Tok in the future. When it’s a federated open source platform with no profit motive that’s going to be something much more easy to get in.
People want to use nuclear weapons. Is that what everybody wants?!?!?!? Because that’s what social media is!!! \s
