When my insurance switched Rx programs on January 1, the new place said it would not cover a very expensive medication I'd been on since June (I'd had to argue for coverage at the old place to bring the price down to "Hoo boy. This is a lot, but I am so miserable and desperate, I will try it."). 1/?
@matildazq Both Northwestern Medicine (my primary care doctor's organization) and OptumRx (the "benefits" provider) have been so soul-crushingly horrible in my attempts to try to get this covered that, combined with having to deal with Optum's specialty pharmacy for another heart-stoppingly expensive medication that I needed to start, that I've just more or less given up on trying to get the other. 2/?

@matildazq I've been without it for about six weeks now and assuming that I'd just readjust to living with what I'd been living with for nearly a decade and get on with life. Instead, every day is an exercise in being whacked in the fucking head with the misery I had just adjusted to. 3/3
