Liam Rosenior say 'anyone found guilty of racism should not be in the game'

Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior says anyone found guilty of racist behaviour in football "shouldn't be in the game".

And on racism and discrimination, this report from BBC News is equally unacceptable but not surprising from IPL involved investors.

Surrey CCC have a proud history of Pakistani players playing crucial parts of our teams This cannot be allowed to stand at IPL co-owned team playing out of The Kia Oval.

The Hundred: IPL-linked teams 'not considering Pakistan players'

Four sides in The Hundred with links to the IPL are not expected to sign players from Pakistan in next month's auction.

England white ball captain Harry Brook has come out and said it would be a shame if Pakistani players did not feature in The Hundred.

This BBC Sport report also includes some interesting facts about player recruitment by teams owned by IPL franchise owners.

No coincidence.

Bear in mind that were I running a business and said "My company will not employ people from Pakistan", I'd be dragged into court for breaking the Law.

And I don't mean the Judas Priest metal anthem.

Think I'll ask Surrey CCC how they feel about this. At The Kia Oval we now have an IPL franchise involved in the Hundred brand operating from our ground.

The Hundred: Harry Brook says Pakistan players' exclusion would be "a shame"

England skipper Harry Brook says it would be "a shame" if Pakistan players were excluded from playing in The Hundred, and confirms he will not captain Sunrisers Leeds this year.

BBC Sport

For those who may not know, The Hundred was forced through by two men - Colin Graves and Tom Harrison - with a complete lack of good faith towards the Counties, threats, bullying and some extremely questionable evidence to a Parliamentary Committee.

It has ruined the domestic schedule, slaughtered our 50 over competition, ruined our attempts at defending the 50 over World Cup title we won in 2019 (which I predicted in evidence to the then DCMS Committee, see the link below) and turned the competition into another branch of generic short form pyjama slop.

I have no love for or interest in The Hundred. I am a County Cricket follower and Surrey CCC supporter.

This piece from Barney Ronay is an absolute belter. His line about Daniel Gidney, Lancashire CCC CEO burns like the Ritchie Blackmore guitar riff. There are some in Lancashire who loathe Gidney for his approach. I don't blame them.

Richards Thompson and Gould were at Surrey CCC when The Hundred was forced through by Graves and Harrison. Surrey CCC had been vocally critical of the proposals and were aware of the considerable negativity around the ECB's conduct.

IIRC at an AGM they said that because Surrey CCC had signed the contract with the ECB, they would honour it. Because Surrey are an honourable club. But Surrey is a member's club and they would always do the right thing for the members and follow the membership's wishes.

As critical of the ECB as they were, what happened when they moved into the ECB offices? Did someone chloform them then inject them with huge doses of the idiot drug?

If "MI London" or whatever they are going to call themselves are to operate from the Kia Oval they must abide by the law of the land.

I for one welcome any legal action that Pakistani players may bring.

English cricket’s hunger for Indian money has led it into a moral and legal minefield

Potential exclusion of Pakistan players in the Hundred could breach UK laws on discrimination and leave ECB exposed
