MASTODON MIXTAPE
Hey Mastodonians, it’s been a long, long time since I’ve done a Friday Night Mixtape post. But here we are, and it’s time once again to create another old-fashioned community mixtape — just like we used to do in the olden days.
Tonight’s theme is going to be music that takes you back. How far back? You decide. Post a song or songs that always manage to transport you back in time and what it reminds you of.

Here's another one that takes me back. This must have been about 6th grade for me, and my mother had married again. We lived in a home with green carpet, as I recall.
This song was influential because of the allusion to teens having sex — something still mysterious to me. People also talked a lot about the breakdancing, which was new back then.
Also, I grew up in the burbs, so this inner cityscape was way foreign to me.
