A theory as to why hero worshipping is a phenomenon, is that someone who is deemed to be innovative and useful could pass on the know how to the tribe in order to collectively survive and thrive. And from my observation, a dark parallel applies to “villain” worshipping. Like, someone who is already brazenly and unashamedly corrupt is still fawned over upon. Deep down, the supporters must be thinking “Impressive. How are they getting away with it? What are they doing that I could also do, to get away with such shameless act?”

When the powerful aren’t held accountable, doing something and getting away with it goes from a shameful act to something people brag about.

We don’t live in a just society, so no one cares about following the rules.

It’s the first crack in the social contract, and it showed up long ago. One the whole thing goes, so does society.

What has been “low key” about any maga stuff? They are the loudest motherfuckers. The biggest crybabies. Why would you believe a single word of their after-the-fact excuses? It’s always “I didn’t think that meant me!” or “I just wanted those people to pay, not the ones I like”. They are lifelong self appointed victims and want everyone else to suffer. Fuck them.
