A shoveling event seems to be glaringly missing from the Winter Olympics.
@LikeItOrLumpIt I know who would win gold on that one!
@LikeItOrLumpIt
Maybe windshield scraping too?
@Nerde @LikeItOrLumpIt Could be a winter triathlon. Digging out the driveway, scraping the car and driving it through a blizzard.

@beecycling @Nerde

These skills go hand in hand!

@LikeItOrLumpIt @beecycling
Does a snowplow come by as soon as the driveway is cleared?

@Nerde

Shoveling
Window scraping
Driving a shopping cart through a slush filled parking lot

@LikeItOrLumpIt I'd like to see something fun. Competitive snowman building. Maybe team snowball fights?

@Thorium

Yes! We were talking about how to integrate snowmen into the Olympics the other day. Wouldn't it make it more fun for kids and adults alike?

@LikeItOrLumpIt There are both pro and amateur shovelers. Skiers are good at it. Pic of neighbor’s Toyota parked at Snowbird for 7 hours Wednesday.

@stevewfolds

Yes. It's happened to me several times leaving work. You have to keep a small shovel in your car here.

But extra effort needed after a full day of skiing!

@LikeItOrLumpIt Yes. I carried a folding metal or plastic one in trunk for decades.

@LikeItOrLumpIt

hmmm . . . olympic GOLD in shoveling . . .

* imagining myself crying as I receive my Olympic Gold for Lifetime Achievement in Shoveling . . . "thank you, thank you, and thanks to my team (shovel) without which . . . etc etc . . ." *

@LikeItOrLumpIt It's too close to curling - they figured that there are already enough janitorial or manual-labor-related sports on the docket. 🀭

@SynAck

Shoveling curling where the stones have to glide down ice that is covered in snow...shovel!!! Shovel!!

@LikeItOrLumpIt I would guess that using a snowblower would be the equivalent of steroid use in this case, yeah?
