Wow. Discussion of #ThriveMessenger caused me to dig out my old IRC Stones game bot. It's 30 years old. That is scary.
The saddest thing is, even if the IRC servers were all still up, I just don't have the headspace like i used to. I can't devote my after-school hours and weekends to sitting online, gaming, chatting anymore as I could pretty much through the end of primary, all through high school and most of college.
The tech's moved on and everything but more than that so have I.

@cachondo Yeah, i mean I am on Discord Mastodon, and Reddit much of the time, but that's while juggling stay at home parent responsibilities, and making phone calls. I find myself at least a few times a week jumping on voice chat, and wandering around the house doing chores and parenting duties while chatting.
