Just to be clear: England is not a pagan nation. The Church of England is the established state church in England, with the Monarch serving as its Supreme Governor.
Ramadan (and all other Muslim holidays)'s dates drift by about 10 days every year because the Muslim calendar is an uncorrected lunar calendar.
It coincides with Lent this year and might for another year or two but does not usually match.
