At work we have a place to lock up our bikes out of the rain, but it’s on wall mounted racks.
Many bikes are too heavy to lift safely onto them or too long/have designs that make them impossible to hang from wall mounted racks.
Also, some people that ride bikes are unable to lift them onto wall mounted racks for various reasons either temporarily or permanently.
I asked if we could get at least some standard floor mounted staples and they sent a photo of a fence wall that could be locked to (won’t work for many bikes) and two staple racks in the parking lot (out in the open/rained on all day).
This same employer offers $200/mo for parking reimbursement if you drive.
What a joke.
@voiceofunreason A local parking garage should put in some nice bike infrastructure and price it at $200/month....
(It may not be crazy to suggest it to them if they are under utilised)
