@votetanille @bougiewonderland it can be tricky to copy and paste alt text from other people's posted images. Usually you can select the image, activate the alt text to make it visible and then highlight the text. might work in web better than app or vice versa

@votetanille @chris @bougiewonderland With the app Tusky you can copy the alt text within the app, you can't download the description automatically, through.

@chris @votetanille @bougiewonderland in my client, I cannot copy alt text in the timeline, but if I click on the post and then on the image, I get an icon that shows me alt text I can copy. Good luck.

@votetanille No, you have to add alt text every time you post an image. They aren’t attached to the image file but to the post.
