@stux I don't think deleting the accounts does anything except set "deleted" to "true".
I had a Facebook account in 2005 - for a week. I deleted it.
Ten years later I had to create another to test a Facebook extension. FB resurrected my original account. All my posts were still there.
Yeah, that's pretty typical. We usually call it a soft-delete. We don't always reveal to the user it's just a flag on an account.
It's pretty lousy.
This is why I prefer to misdirect the algorithm by following and liking things I'm not actually interested in.
