1/2 Santorini is white-wine territory. Yes. Um. But. Reds exist, but not many. This red is mostly old vines. Starts with a toasty overlay supported by surprising power at this age. It's no wimp! It tastes great, big and ripe with black cherries and strawberries. to #2 #wine #greece #santorini

2/2 There were moments where I thought it was a little too ripe, but overall it works, it evolved superbly, came into better balance and the structure helps it along. There's some intensity, but it's also pretty delicious. 14.5% alc, $50-ish then. #wine #greece #santorini #mavrotragano
