Yesterday in Gender Census merch, I finished some non-sparkly lesbian pride flag handwarmers, and I just need to take an up-to-date daylight photo of them for the shop.

I've made handwarmers more fun (for me and me only) by setting up a complex algorithm for deciding what to knit next based on what's in stock, what's been bought more, and what hasn't been transferred from the wiki sale page yet! [why am i like this]

It will mean that eventually everything is moved over from the wiki, AND I have accurate data about what's popular.

It goes like:

ALTERNATE BETWEEN:
A) Of the handwarmers that are out of stock, knit the one that has sold the least number of times.
B) Knit something from the wiki sale page that hasn't been listed on the proper shop yet, and then list it on the proper shop.

Eventually everything will be moved from the wiki to the shop, and then it'll just be (A).

The non-sparkly lesbian handwarmers are moving over from the wiki sale page. So next up is the handwarmers that are out of stock, and the one that has sold the least is the bisexual sparklies, which I cast on last night.

PS: The @gendercensus shop is here: https://shop.gendercensus.com And the bisexual sparklies will look like this:
I woke up at about 4:30am I think, and it's 6am now - I've given up and I'm knitting the bisexual handwarmers and drinking my latest favourite potion, Clipper hot chocolate powder and vegan chai latte powder made into a hot drink with 100% hazelnut milk. So it's vegan chai chocolate hazelnut latte... I think? (It mostly tastes like Christmassy hot chocolate.)
If you are wondering about the wisdom of insomniac me drinking two kinds of stimulant in one drink, please rest assured that I have ADHD.

Me while knitting with sparkly merino:

ooooooooooooooo 👀

I have the sparkly merino shop page on my bookmarks bar, because it's so lovely, and here it is: https://www.edencottageyarns.co.uk/collections/nateby-4ply It's Nateby 4ply from Eden Cottage Yarns. It's SO NICE and if you ever get a chance to buy some it's such a pleasure to knit with. The sparklies aren't scratchy at all.

The sun came up and I took a photo! :)

@cassolotl
So cute  !
I want to be lesbian when I see that (I find the bi one less cute). Well, I am in EU anyway.
@cassolotl (whats gpsr o.o?)
@spacekatia It's EU-specific safety regulations that mean that if you're not in the EU you have to have an officer based in the EU signing off on (and being legally responsible for) the safety of everything you export to the EU, including stuff like gloves and PDFs! Basically it makes it impossible for small-scale producers to sell to EU countries except via large-scale services that provide GPSR officers (like Etsy) or by paying someone a lot of money to handle it for you as a service.
@spacekatia Here's a page about it that looks pretty good: https://www.tradeandbusiness.uk/news/what-is-gpsr
What is GPSR and why is it such a big deal for small British businesses? — UK Trade and Business Commission

Today the European Union’s new General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) comes into effect, impacting businesses across Britain by introducing new post-Brexit trade barriers with our closest overseas market, and delivering another blow to businesses exporting to Northern Ireland.
