L.A. County prosecutors probing whether Edison should be criminally prosecuted for Eaton fire

The Los Angeles County District Attorney is investigating whether Southern California Edison should be criminally prosecuted for its actions in last year’s devastating Eaton wildfire, which killed 19 people and left thousands of families homeless.

@ai6yr Trust me. If there were consequences of a criminal sort that affected mega corporations, there would suddenly be improved safety records, maintenance and advanced, modernized methods of output. Leaving 75 yr old infrastructure in place until it completely fails, is the cause of this crap. When public utilities were handed over to private corps, it was with many promises: Lower rates, better maintenance, better operations. Yeah, right.
