world's worst goth@redoak I'm in the long process of distributing a family elder's craft stash and library, and so far it's gone to hyperlocal community-run free or pay-what-you-can NOTAFLOF reuse centers where it will be loved, the books stamped 'not for sale'.
@redoak my day job is in nonprofit open science, so every day we send astro data out to researchers and the curious public anywhere in the world, maintaining ties with the global science community. Sometimes I get lost in the details and forget that backdrop of the work, but when I have to talk about it like this, I start to remember how it matters.
