Unexpected meetings with deliberately vague titles (“Sync”, “Chat”, “Check-in”) are almost always bad news.
@rands I had a supervisor who liked to give good-news meetings ominously vague titles. I knew he did that, and that it was unlikely to be bad, but it still made me nervous every time.
@rands Similarly, an email ending in "please advise" should be treated like unexploded ordnance.
@rands This is especially bad for the ADHD people who receive them, who will now spend the whole time between the receipt and the meeting agonizing over what they did wrong or how they’ve offended.
