The 4TB #HardDrive #SCAM has an update...

Scam details:

The seller sets a long delivery schedule (2 weeks, here), but somehow manages to 'ship' the same day - i.e., prints a USPS label - but it's done by a non-existant entity wirh a fake address in a totally different location from their published, and 'verified' addresss.

The seller only gets their payment once the pkg shows up as delivered via USPS tracking.

Post-refund, my new 'drive' shows up.

At .03mm tall, and well under 1 oz...

At this point I think it was a fluke that the 'delivery' went wildy off course by 2000 miles, but happily, the master seller - #Newegg - issued a refund almost instantly, after I sent a note to ask about the routing errors.

I can't blame them for what unscrupulous #marketplace #venders do to #scam #online #retailer customers, but a new and very real HD showed up this morning, thanks to them having their own stock on hand.
