would anyone be interested in a page on https://gobikecamping.com/ that shows the last 50 engagements? that would be check-ins, bike shops added, campsites added. that way you could see what's happening with the map.

I think it'd be interesting. I'm curious if anyone else thinks that too. it'd make the map feel more alive.

@spencexyz “All of the cyclist friendly campsites in America.”
Not sure why this limitation exists, but prob not interested because of it.

@Anibyl the site will take campsites from anywhere. There is stuff from Canada. It started out as just US because that's all I knew and the only info I had to add.

Looks like that tagline is still in the footer, I'll remove it. Thanks for catching that!

The site is still largely geared towards people touring in/around/through the US since there is info there. People don't want to contribute POIs in other countries that are blank on this map b/c they don't get any value from.

@Anibyl If you have stuff to add from Canada that would be really helpful!
@Anibyl just removed that line from the footer and an old meta data tag. a hard refresh of the site gets rid of them. thanks again for the heads up.

With a delay or something so you aren’t unintentionally publishing someone’s movement?

@spencexyz

@clew that's what I've been thinking about. I'd essentially be publishing someone's tour and you could follow them. I can't think of a good way to do this that doesn't show that info off. Even if it's delayed, you're seeing someone's tour that they maybe didn't want the public to see.

Currently I'm leaning towards not implementing this.
