Is #punk officially an old people thing now or what? I thought it was just because of who I know that I tend to see bands with members that are over 30. But my friend is at this punk fest on the other side of Florida that's happening this weekend and I just looked through the lineup, and the vast majority of bands look 40+. My best theory is that there's a schism between the youth punk scene and the rest of us. https://wearethepunx.com/lineup/
Lineup – WE ARE THE PUNX

@shotgunseamstress i literally just said this to my bandmates earlier this week. We've all been in hardcore/fast/etc bands before or are currently still in a project in that vain. But we're so far removed from what young people in our city think is cool or even "good" that i told them "at 37 this just feels like the right kinda music to be playing right now" haha maybe im just gracefully entering my unc era...im okay with that tho
@shotgunseamstress actually from seeing the lineup of the fest you linked to...i do not associate with that vibe at all 😂😂
