@tippitiwichet Another variation: my father coordinated with his local food bank and each week during the growing season donated some number of potted tomato plants with care and seed-saving instructions. He picked "patio" varieties so it still worked for those with just a tiny balcony or porch area outdoors, or sometimes indoors as well. Everyone loved them.
