#FOSDEM ask: if you are willing to help review and cut videos, please reach out to myself or @zev333

(Using my account for "more followers, more distribution" reasons)

@zev333 to expand on the #FOSDEM ask: all this happens through a web Interface. You don't need to download or install anything, just open a link, watch a few minutes of video, click a few buttons, done

@RichiH @zev333 I wonder what could be done? Recently I scrubbed fosdem.org\/2026\/schedule\/events page and downloaded all av1.webm videos (yes, all 817 of them. Sorry). I need to have them offline for personal reasons.

Those I randomly checked play well and I did not encounter any issues. Thanks for your work.

@AliMirjamali @zev333 we would send you links to a web interface. There you can cut, verify, and release currently uncut videos
@AliMirjamali @zev333 PS: we have mirrors for FOSDEM. No need to scrape the website, just grab it from our video hosts
@RichiH @zev333 Oh yes. While downloading the actual files, I recognized the URL request were forwarded to the respective mirrors.
@RichiH @zev333 In this case, someone who has enough bandwidth to work with the original high bit-rate mp4 files would be a better candidate to work on this task. Regretfully I do not have this capability.
@AliMirjamali @zev333 no, we have a full web interface. all cutting and transcoding happens on our servers. if you are insterested, zev can send you a link or two and you just see if you like it?
@RichiH @zev333 sure, I could chip in with this šŸ‘
@RichiH @zev333 I can help šŸ™‚
@RichiH @zev333 How can I help, I’m already familiar with the FOSDEM video review interface
@RichiH @zev333 I'm happy to help. I've cut my own talk with the interface so I'm somewhat familiar with it.
