My wife and I went out for our Valentine’s Day dinner last night. She got a call while out that her grandfather had passed away. It was a bit of a surreal night. Life isn’t as long as you may think, and death of someone near you can be a wake up call when you’re sleepwalking through life.

@jamie It does, but it was also a situation where it was a release from what he was going through at this stage. We only went out on Friday night instead of Saturday because I couldn’t get reservations on actual Valentine’s, so that worked out as well since it would haven’t been doable if we had reservations for today.
