This cockerel encountered itself. I still remember seeing the puddle and the cockerel while on holiday at a horse farm nine years ago and thinking that I would have to be quick here. But in fact, I had plenty of time to take the picture. No idea what was going through the animal's mind ;-).

@chimpgram It would be fun to think an Aha! moment was happening, but chickens don't have the neurological capacity for that kind of thinking.

The likeliest thing is the bird sees another bird and is getting cross at this rude invasion of space!
